पाद्यमाचमनीयं वै ददौ भर्तुस्तथा55सनम् | प्रह्मा पर्यचरच्चापि भर्तारमसितेक्षणा
pādyam ācamanīyaṃ vai dadau bhartus tathāsanam | brahmā paryacarac cāpi bhartāram asitekṣaṇā ||
மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—அவள் கணவனுக்குப் பாதம் கழுவப் பாத்யமும், ஆச்சமனத்திற்குத் தண்ணீரும் அளித்து, அமர ஆசனமும் வழங்கினாள். கருநயனாளான அந்தப் பதிவிரதை, தர்மத்திற்கேற்ற மரியாதைச் சேவையால் கணவனைப் பணிந்தாள்.
