पञ्चमहाभूतगुण-इन्द्रियनिग्रह-उपदेशः | Teaching on the Qualities of the Five Elements and Sense-Control
मार्कण्डेय उवाच एवं स छन््द्यमानस्तु वरेण हरिणा तदा
Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca: evaṃ sa chandyamānas tu vareṇa hariṇā tadā
மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—அவ்வேளையில் அவன், மானம் அளிப்பதாகக் கூறிய வரத்தால் தூண்டப்பட்டும் கவரப்பட்டும், வாக்குறுதியான பலனின் ஆசையால் மன உறுதியை அமைத்துக் கொண்டு முன்னே இழுக்கப்பட்டான்.
