Indradyumna Upākhyāna: On Kīrti, Smṛti, and Restoration
देवस्थानेषु चैत्येषु नागानामालयेषु च । एड्डकचिह्ना पृथिवी न देवगृहभूषिता,युगान्तकालमें शूद्र द्विजातियोंकी सेवा नहीं करेंगे। वह समय आनेपर महर्षियोंके आश्रमोंमें, ब्राह्मणोंके घरोंमें, देवस्थानोंमें, चैत्यवृक्षोंके आस-पास और नागालयोंमें जो भूमि होगी, उसपर हड्डी जड़ी हुई दीवारोंका चिह्न तो उपलब्ध होगा; परंतु देवमन्दिर उस भूमिकी शोभा नहीं बढ़ायेंगे
devasthāneṣu caityeṣu nāgānām ālayeṣu ca | eḍḍakacihnā pṛthivī na devagṛhabhūṣitā ||
தேவஸ்தலங்களிலும், சைத்யத் தலங்களிலும், புனித மரங்களின் அருகிலும், நாகர்களின் வாசஸ்தலங்களிலும் கூட, பூமி எலும்புபோன்ற கடினக் கோட்டைக் குறிகளையும் வெறிச்சோடிய சிதிலங்களையும் மட்டுமே தாங்கும்; தேவர்களின் இல்லங்களால் இனி அது அலங்கரிக்கப்படாது. இது யுகத்தின் சிதைவுக்கான அறிகுறி—பக்தி, சேவை, தர்ம ஒழுங்கு மங்கும்போது, வழிபாட்டிற்கென ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட இடங்களும் தம் அழகையும் பாதுகாப்பையும் இழக்கின்றன।
