चतुर्थाशेन धर्मस्तु मनुष्यानुपतिष्ठति । आयुर्वीर्यमथो बुद्धिर्बलं तेजश्च॒ पाण्डव
caturthāṁśena dharmas tu manuṣyān upatiṣṭhati | āyur vīryam atho buddhir balaṁ tejaś ca pāṇḍava ||
மார்க்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—இந்த யுகத்தில் மனிதர்களிடையே தர்மம் நான்கில் ஒரு பங்காக மட்டுமே நிலைகொள்கிறது. ஓ பாண்டவா, அதனுடன் ஆயுள், வீரியம், புத்தி, பலம், தேஜஸும் குறைந்து போகின்றன.
