हिरण्यपुरवर्णन–रौद्रास्त्रप्रयोगः
Hiraṇyapura Described and the Deployment of the Raudra Weapon
तत: शड्खमुपादाय देवदत्तं महास्वनम् | परमां मुदमाश्रित्य प्राधमं तं शनैरहम्,तब मैंने बड़ी भयंकर ध्वनि करनेवाले देवदत्त नामक शंखको हाथमें लेकर अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हो धीरे-धीरे उसे बजाया
tataḥ śaṅkham upādāya devadattaṁ mahāsvanam | paramāṁ mudam āśritya prādhamaṁ taṁ śanair aham ||
அப்போது பேரொலியுடைய ‘தேவதத்த’ என்னும் சங்கினை கையில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு, உச்சமான மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் நான் மெதுவாக அதை ஊதினேன்.
