जगद् विनिर्दहेदेवमल्पतेजसि पातितम् | पीड्यमानेन बलवत् प्रयोज्यं स्याद्ू धनंजय
arjuna uvāca | jagad vinirdahad evam alpatejasi pātitam | pīḍyamānena balavat prayojyaṃ syād dhanaṃjaya ||
அர்ஜுனன் கூறினான்—“அற்பத் தேஜஸுடைய ஒருவன் மீது வீசப்பட்டாலே இது இவ்வாறு உலகமெங்கும் எரியச் செய்கிறதெனில், ஓ தனஞ்சயா! இதை உண்மையில் வல்லவனுக்கு எதிராக மட்டுமே, மிகுந்த வலத்துடன் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.”
