Vaiśaṃpāyana–Janamejaya Narrative
न्यवारयत् तौ प्रहसन् कुन्तीपुत्रो वृकोदर: । शक्तोहं राक्षसस्येति प्रेक्षध्वमिति चाब्रवीत्,परंतु कुन्तीकुमार भीमसेनने हँसकर उन दोनोंको रोक दिया और कहा--“मैं अकेला ही इस राक्षसके लिये पर्याप्त हूँ। तुमलोग चुप-चाप देखते रहो”
nyavārayat tau prahasan kuntīputro vṛkodaraḥ | śakto'haṃ rākṣasasye'ti prekṣadhvam iti cābravīt ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்— குந்தியின் புதல்வன் வ்ருகோதரன் பீமன் சிரித்தபடி அவரிருவரையும் தடுத்து, “இந்த அரக்கனுக்கு நான் ஒருவனே போதும்; நீங்கள் அமைதியாக நின்று பாருங்கள்” என்று சொன்னான்.
