Sātyaki’s Call for Intervention and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Vow-Bound Restraint (सात्यकिवाक्यं—धर्मराजस्य धैर्यनिश्चयः)
प्रतिप्रयान्त्वद्य दशार्हवीरा दृष्टोडस्मि नाथैर्नरलोकनाथी: । धर्मेडप्रमादं कुरुताप्रमेया द्रष्टास्मि भूय: सुखिन: समेतान्,अब ये यदुवंशी वीर द्वारकाको लौट जायँ। आपलोग मेरे नाथ या सहायक तो हैं ही, सम्पूर्ण मनुष्य-लोकके भी रक्षक हैं, आपलोगोंसे मिलना हो गया, यह बड़े आनन्दकी बात है। अनुपम शक्तिशाली वीरो! आपलोग धर्मपालनकी ओरसे सदा सावधानी रखें। मैं पुनः आप सभी सुखी मित्रोंको एकत्र हुआ देखूँगा
pratiprayāntv adya daśārhavīrā dṛṣṭo ’smi nāthaiḥ naralokanāthīḥ | dharme ’pramādaṃ kurutāprameyā draṣṭāsmi bhūyaḥ sukhinaḥ sametān ||
ஏ தசார்ஹ வம்ச வீரர்களே, இன்று நீங்கள் புறப்பட்டுச் செல்லுங்கள். உங்களைப் பார்த்ததால் நான் பாக்கியவான் ஆனேன்—நீங்கள் என் நாதரும் துணையுமன்றி, மனித உலகமெங்கும் காவலர்களும் ஆவீர்கள். இந்தச் சந்திப்பு எனக்கு பேரானந்தம் அளித்தது. அளவிலாப் பராக்கிரமம் உடைய மகாவீரர்களே, தர்மத்தின் நடைமுறையிலும் பாதுகாப்பிலும் எப்போதும் விழிப்புடன் இருங்கள். மீண்டும் உங்களை அனைவரையும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன், நண்பர்களாய் ஒன்றுகூடிய நிலையில் காண வேண்டும்—இதுவே என் வேண்டுதல்.
