Nāvyāśrama-nirmāṇa and Ṛśyaśṛṅga’s Distraction (नाव्याश्रमनिर्माणम्—ऋश्यशृङ्गस्य विचलनम्)
कच्चित् तपो वर्धते तापसानां पिता च ते कच्चिदहीनतेजा: । कच्चित् त्वया प्रीयते चैव विप्र कच्चित् स्वाध्याय: क्रियते चर्ष्यशुड्र,क्या तपस्वीलोगोंकी तपस्या उत्तरोत्तर बढ़ रही है? आपके पिताका तेज क्षीण तो नहीं हो रहा है? ब्रह्मन! आप मजेमें हैं न? ऋष्यशृंगजी! आपके स्वाध्यायका क्रम चल रहा है न?
Lomaśa uvāca | kaccit tapo vardhate tāpasānāṃ pitā ca te kaccid ahīna-tejāḥ | kaccit tvayā prīyate caiva vipra kaccit svādhyāyaḥ kriyate cārṣyaśṛṅga ||
லோமசர் கூறினார்—“இங்குள்ள தவசிகளின் தவம் நாள்தோறும் வளர்கிறதா? உன் தந்தையின் ஆன்மீகத் தேஜஸ் குறையாமல் உள்ளதா? ஓ பிராமணனே, நீ நலமாய் மகிழ்ச்சியாய் இருக்கிறாயா? ஓ ருஷ்யச்ருங்கா, உன் ஸ்வாத்யாயம் இடையறாது நடைபெறுகிறதா?”
