गङ्गाधारणम् (Gaṅgādhāraṇa) — Śiva Bears the Descent of Gaṅgā
त॑ तोषय महाबाहो तपसा वरदं हरम् । सतु मां प्रच्युतां देवः शिरसा धारयिष्यति,“महाबाहो! तुम तपस्याद्वारा उन्हीं वरदायक भगवान् शिवको संतुष्ट करो। स्वर्गसे गिरते समय वे ही मुझे अपने मस्तकपर धारण करेंगे
taṁ toṣaya mahābāho tapasā varadaṁ haram | sa tu māṁ pracyutāṁ devaḥ śirasā dhārayiṣyati ||
“மகாபாஹோ! தவத்தால் வரமளிக்கும் ஹரன்—சிவனை—மகிழ்வி. நான் சொர்க்கத்திலிருந்து வீழும் போது, அந்தத் தேவன் என்னைத் தன் தலையில் தாங்குவான்.”
