ततो वृत्रवधे यत्नमकुर्वस्त्रिदशा: पुरा । पुरंदरं पुरस्कृत्य ब्रह्माणमुपतस्थिरे,तब समस्त देवता वृत्रासुरके वधके प्रयत्नमें लग गये। वे देवराज इन्द्रको आगे करके ब्रह्माजीके पास गये
tato vṛtravadhe yatnam akurvaṃs tridāśāḥ purā | puraṃdaraṃ puraskṛtya brahmāṇam upatasthire ||
அப்போது முற்காலத்தில் திரிதச தேவர்கள் வ்ருத்ரவதத்திற்காக முயன்றனர். புரந்தரன் இந்திரனை முன்னிறுத்தி அவர்கள் பிரம்மாவை அணுகினர்.
