vaiśampāyana uvāca | prayāntaṃ devakīputraṃ paravīrarujo daśa | mahārathā mahābāhum anvayuḥ śastrapāṇayaḥ ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—ஜனமேஜயா! தேவகியின் புதல்வனும் பெருந்தோளனுமான ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணன் புறப்பட்டபோது, பகைவரின் வீரரைத் துன்புறுத்த வல்ல ஆயுதம் தாங்கிய பத்து மகாரதர்கள் அவரைத் தொடர்ந்து சென்றனர்.
