अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
अक्षौहिणीपती राजन् महावीर्यपराक्रम: । विचित्रकवचा: शूरा विचित्रध्वजकार्मुका:
akṣauhiṇīpatī rājan mahāvīryaparākramaḥ | vicitrakavacāḥ śūrā vicitradhvajakārmukāḥ ||
அரசே! அக்ஷௌஹிணிகளின் அதிபதிகளான அந்த சேனாதிபதிகள் மாபெரும் வீரியமும் பராக்கிரமமும் உடையவர்கள்—வீரர்கள், பலவகை கவசம் அணிந்தவர்கள், விதவிதமான கொடிகளும் வில்லுகளும் கொண்டு விளங்கியவர்கள்.
