Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 58 — Saṃjaya’s Audience and Kṛṣṇa’s Deterrent Counsel (संजय-प्रवेशः कृष्णवाक्यं च)
ऊर्ध्वरेखातलौ पादौ पार्थस्य शुभलक्षणौ । पादपीठादपदह्तौ तत्रापश्यमहं शुभौ
ūrdhvarekhātalau pādau pārthasya śubhalakṣaṇau | pādapīṭhād apadahatau tatrāpaśyam ahaṃ śubhau ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—அங்கே பார்த்தனின் இரு மங்களகரமான பாதங்களையும் நான் கண்டேன்; அவற்றின் உள்ளங்கால்களில் மேல்நோக்கிச் செல்லும் கோடுகள் தென்பட்டன, மேலும் தளங்கள் சமமாக இருந்தன. பாதபீடத்தில் இருந்தும் அவை காயமின்றி இருந்தன; அந்தப் புனிதமான இரு பாதங்களையும் நான் பார்த்தேன்.
