स वै शोचामि सर्वान् वै ये युयुत्सन्ति पाण्डवै: । विक्रुष्टं विदुरेणादौ तदेतद् भयमागतम्,जो लोग पाण्डवोंसे युद्ध करना चाहते हैं, उन सबके लिये मुझे बड़ा शोक हो रहा है। विदुरने पहले ही उच्चस्वरसे जिसकी घोषणा की थी, वही यह भय आज आ पहुँचा है
sa vai śocāmi sarvān vai ye yuyutsanti pāṇḍavaiḥ | vikruṣṭaṃ vidureṇādau tad etad bhayam āgatam ||
துருதராஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—பாண்டவர்களுடன் போரிட ஆவல்கொள்ளும் அனைவரையும் நினைத்து நான் மிகுந்த துயருறுகிறேன். விதுரன் முன்பே உரத்த குரலில் அறிவித்த அதே அச்சமே இன்று நம்மை வந்தடைந்தது।
