वृद्धों भीष्म: शान्तनव: कृपश्च द्रोण: सपुत्रो विदुरश्ष धीमान्‌ एते सर्वे यद्‌ वदन्ते तदस्तु आयुष्मन्त: कुरव: सन्तु सर्वे,'फिर भी मैं चाहता हूँ कि बूढ़े पितामह शान्तनु-नन्दन भीष्म, कृपाचार्य, द्रोणाचार्य, अश्वत्थामा और बुद्धिमान्‌ विदुर--ये सब लोग मिलकर जैसा कहें, वही हो। समस्त कौरव दीर्घायु बने रहें

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

vr̥ddho bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavaḥ kr̥paś ca droṇaḥ saputro viduraś ca dhīmān |

ete sarve yad vadanti tad astu |

āyuṣmantaḥ kuravaḥ santu sarve ||

Translation

சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—முதிய சாந்தனு புதல்வன் பீஷ்மன், கிருபன், மகனுடன் துரோணன், அறிவுடைய விதுரன்—இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்றுகூடி எதைச் சொல்கிறார்களோ அதுவே நடக்கட்டும். எல்லா கௌரவரும் நீண்ட ஆயுளுடன் வாழட்டும்.
