यावत् कीर्तिर्मिनुष्यस्य पुण्या लोके प्रगीयते । तावत् स पुरुषव्याप्र स्वर्गलोके महीयते,पुरुषश्रेष्ठ] इस लोकमें जबतक मनुष्यकी पावन कीर्तिका गान किया जाता है, तबतक वह स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है
yāvat kīrtir manuṣyasya puṇyā loke pragīyate | tāvat sa puruṣavyāghra svargaloke mahīyate ||
விதுரர் கூறினார்—இந்த உலகில் ஒருவனின் புனிதமான புகழ் எத்தனை நாள் பாடப்படுகிறதோ, அத்தனை நாள் அவன் விண்ணுலகில் மதிக்கப்பட்டு மேன்மை பெறுகிறான்.
