अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चैवान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवान: पुत्रा: पौत्रा भ्रातरश्वैव ये नः । यं यमेषां मन्यसे येन योग्यं तत् तत् प्रोच्यानामयं सूत वाच्या:
ye caivānye kurumukhyā yuvānaḥ putrāḥ pautrā bhrātaraś caiva ye naḥ | yaṃ yam eṣāṃ manyase yena yogyaṃ tat tat procya nāmayaṃ sūta vācyāḥ ||
யுதிஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—சஞ்சயா! இவர்களைத் தவிர குருகுலத்தின் மற்ற முதன்மை இளைஞர்கள்—எங்கள் மகன்கள், பேரன்கள், சகோதரர்கள் போன்றவர்கள்—அவர்களில் யாரை எவ்வாறு அழைத்து உரையாடுவது பொருத்தமென நீ கருதுகிறாயோ, அவரவரிடம் அதற்கேற்றவாறு பேசு. ஓ சூதா! அனைவரிடமும் ‘பாண்டவர்கள் நலமுடன் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் உள்ளனர்’ என்று அறிவி।
