Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
[दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठका १ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल ५९ “लोक हैं।] - इस प्रकार यद्यपि गृहस्थाश्रममें रहने और संन्यास लेनेका भी शास्त्रद्वारा ही विधान किया गया है
sañjaya uvāca |
āmantṛye tvāṁ naradeva-deva gacchāmy ahaṁ pāṇḍava svasti te 'stu |
kaccin na vācā vṛjinaṁ hi kiñcid uccāritaṁ me mama manaso 'bhiṣaṅgāt ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—மன்னர்களின் தேவனே, பாண்டவனே, உனக்கு நலம் உண்டாகுக. இப்போது நான் விடைபெற்று ஹஸ்தினாபுரம் செல்கிறேன். சொல்லுங்கள்—மனத்தின் திடீர் உந்துதலால் நான் வாயால் ஏதேனும் தவறானதையோ உங்களை வருத்தும் சொல்லையோ கூறிவிட்டேனா?
