भीष्मस्वप्न-स्मृत्युपाख्यानम् | Bhīṣma’s Dream-Linked Recollection of the Paraśurāma Combat
दिवसे दिवसे हास्या गतिजल्पितचेष्टितम् । प्रत्याहरंश्न मे युक्ता: स्थिता: प्रियहिते सदा,मेरे लगाये हुए गुप्तचर सदा मेरे प्रिय एवं हितमें संलग्न रहनेवाले थे। वे प्रतिदिन उस कन्याकी गतिविधि, बोलचाल और चेष्टाका समाचार मेरे पास पहुँचाया करते थे
divase divase hāsyā gati-jalpitaceṣṭitam | pratyāharaṃś ca me yuktāḥ sthitāḥ priyahite sadā ||
என் ஆணையால் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட உளவாளர்கள் எப்போதும் எனக்குப் பிரியமானதும் நன்மையானதும் ஆகியவற்றில் பற்றுடன் இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் நாள்தோறும் அந்தக் கன்னியின் நடமாட்டம், பேச்சு, செயல், அவளது புன்னகை வரை கூட செய்தியாக ஒழுங்காக எனக்கு கொண்டு வந்தனர்.
