Bhīṣma’s Recollection of the Duel: Charioteer’s Fall, Brahmin Protection, and Portents after Rāma’s Collapse
अथास्रमस्रवद् घोरं गिरेगैरिकधातुवत् । रामेण सुमहाबाहो क्षतस्य छतजेक्षण
athāsramasravad ghoraṁ gire gairikadhātuvat | rāmeṇa sumahābāho kṣatasya chatajīkṣaṇa ||
அப்போது, குடைநிறத்தின் செம்மையால் சிவந்த கண்களையுடைய மகாபாகு துரியோதனனே! ராமன் (பரசுராமன்) செய்த அந்த ஆழ்ந்த காயத்திலிருந்து அச்சமூட்டும் இரத்தப் பெருக்கம் வெடித்தோடியது—மலையிலிருந்து செங்காவி (கைரிக) நிறம் கலந்த நீரூற்று வழிந்தோடுவது போல।
