ततोऊहं स्वयमुद्यम्य हयांस्तान् वातरंहस: । अयुध्यं जामदग्न्येन निवृत्तेडहनि भारत
tato ’haṁ svayam udyamya hayāṁs tān vātarāṁhasaḥ | ayudhyaṁ jāmadagnyena nivṛtte ’hani bhārata ||
பாரதா! பின்னர் நான் தானே காற்றைப் போல் வேகமுள்ள அந்தக் குதிரைகளை அடக்கி, ஜமதக்னியின் புதல்வன் பரசுராமனுடன் போரில் ஈடுபட்டேன். அப்போது நாள் கிட்டத்தட்ட முடிவடைந்திருந்தது.
