ततो हाहाकृतं सर्व रामे भूतलमश्रिते । जगदू भारत संविग्नं यथार्कपतने भवेत्,परशुरामके पृथ्वीपर गिरते ही मानो आकाशसे सूर्य टूटकर गिरे हों, ऐसा समझकर सारा जगत् भयभीत हो हाहाकार करने लगा
tato hāhākṛtaṃ sarvaṃ rāme bhūtalamaśrite | jagadū bharata saṃvignaṃ yathārkapatane bhavet ||
ராமன் (பரசுராமன்) நிலத்தில் விழுந்தவுடன் எங்கும் அலறல் எழுந்தது. ஓ பாரதா! ஆகாயத்திலிருந்து சூரியன் விழுந்ததுபோல் உலகமெங்கும் அச்சத்தால் நடுங்கியது.
