अथावताप्य पृथिवीं पूषा दिवससंक्षये । जगामास्तं सहस्रांशुस्ततो युद्धमुपारमत्,भारत! उसके बादसे मैंने परशुरामजीपर फिर प्रहार नहीं किया। इधर सहस्र किरणोंवाले भगवान् सूर्य इस पृथ्वीको तपाकर दिनका अन्त होनेपर अस्त हो गये; इसलिये वह युद्ध बंद हो गया
athāvatāpya pṛthivīṃ pūṣā divasa-saṃkṣaye | jagāmāstaṃ sahasrāṃśus tato yuddham upāramat |
பின்னர் பூமியைச் சுட்டெரித்த ஆயிரம் கதிர்கள் உடைய பூஷன் (சூரியன்) தின முடிவில் அஸ்தமித்தான்; ஆகவே போர் நின்றது.
