भीष्मस्य सेनापत्यप्रतिज्ञा तथा रथसंख्यावर्णनम् | Bhishma Accepts Command and Enumerates Kaurava Strength
भावस्ते विदितो<स्माभिरद्दुर्बुद्धे कुलपांसन । न हनिष्यन्ति गाड़ेयं पाण्डवा घृणयेति हि
bhāvas te vidito ’smābhir ad-durbuddhe kulapāṃsana | na haniṣyanti gāṅgeyaṃ pāṇḍavā ghṛṇayeti hi ||
தீய புத்தியுடைய குலக்கழிவே! உன் உள்ளக் கருத்து எங்களுக்கு நன்கு தெரியும்; கருணையால் பாண்டவர்கள் கங்கையின் மகன் பீஷ்மனை கொல்லமாட்டார்கள் என்பதையே நீ நம்பிக்கையாக வைத்திருக்கிறாய்.
