भीष्मस्य सेनापत्यप्रतिज्ञा तथा रथसंख्यावर्णनम् | Bhishma Accepts Command and Enumerates Kaurava Strength
स त्वं कामपरीतात्मा मूढभावाच्च कत्थसे । तथैव वासुदेवस्य न गृह्नासि हितं वच:
sa tvaṁ kāmaparītātmā mūḍhabhāvāc ca katthase | tathaiva vāsudevasya na gṛhṇāsi hitaṁ vacaḥ || kiṁ cedānīṁ bahuktena yudhyasva saha bāndhavaiḥ ||
ஆனால் உன் மனம் ஆசையால் மூழ்கி, மயக்கத்தால் நீ பெருமை பேசுகிறாய். அதுபோலவே வாசுதேவன் (ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணன்) கூறிய நன்மை தரும் அறிவுரையையும் நீ ஏற்கவில்லை. இப்போது மேலும் சொல்லுவதால் என்ன பயன்? உன் சகோதரர்-உறவினருடன் வந்து போரிடு।
