tad dṛṣṭvopasthitaṃ yuddhaṃ samāsannaṃ mahātyayam

Translation

அந்த மாபெரும் பேரழிவைத் தரும் போர் மிக அருகில்—ஏறத்தாழ வந்து விட்டது போல—தோன்றியதைப் பார்த்தபோது, இனி மோதல் ஒரு கற்பனை அல்ல; தவிர்க்க முடியாத நெருக்கடி, அதன் அறநெறி மற்றும் மனித விளைவுகள் மிகக் கடுமையானவை என்பது தெளிந்தது।
