सर्वे वेदविद: शूरा: सर्वे सुचरितव्रता: । ह्वीमन्तो नीतिमन्तश्न सर्वे युद्धविशारदा:,“ये सब-के-सब वेदवेत्ता, शूरवीर, उत्तम व्रतका पालन करनेवाले, लज्जाशील, नीतिज्ञ और युद्धकुशल हैं

Transliteration

sarve vedavidaḥ śūrāḥ sarve sucaritavratāḥ | hrīmanto nītimantaś ca sarve yuddhaviśāradāḥ ||

Translation

அவர்கள் அனைவரும் வேதங்களை அறிந்தோர், வீரர்கள், நன்னடத்தை கொண்ட விரதங்களைப் பேணுவோர்; அடக்கமும் நாணமும் உடையோர், நீதிநெறி அறிந்தோர், போர்கலையில் தேர்ந்தோர்.
