ekapakṣākṣicaraṇāḥ pakṣiṇo madhusūdana | utsṛjanti mahad ghoraṃ tat parābhavalakṣaṇam ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—ஓ மதுசூதனா! ஒரு சிறகு, ஒரு கண், ஒரு கால் மட்டுமே கொண்ட குறைபாடுள்ள பறவைகள் மிகக் கொடூரமான ஒலியை எழுப்புகின்றன; இதுவும் தோல்வியின் அறிகுறி.
