सर्वे ते शत्रव: शक््या न चेज्जीवितुमिच्छसि । अथ चेदीदृशीं वृत्ति क्लीबामभ्युपपद्यसे
sarve te śatravaḥ śakyā na cej jīvitum icchasi | atha ced īdṛśīṁ vṛttiṁ klībām abhyupapadyase ||
மகன் கூறினான்—நீ இனி வாழ விரும்பவில்லை என்றால், உன் பகைவர்கள் அனைவரையும் சமாளிக்க முடியும். ஆனால் இத்தகைய நடத்தை—இந்தக் கோழைத்தனமான வழி—நீ ஏற்றுக் கொண்டால், பகைமையைத் துணிவுடனும் பொறுப்புடனும் எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டிய உறுதியை நீ கைவிடுகிறாய்.
