नहुष उवाच एवं भवतु सुश्रोणि यथा मामिह भाषसे । ज्ञात्वा चागमनं कार्य सत्यमेतदनुस्मरे:
Nahuṣa uvāca: evaṁ bhavatu suśroṇi yathā mām iha bhāṣase | jñātvā cāgamanaṁ kārya satyam etad anusmareḥ ||
நஹுஷன் கூறினான்—“அழகிய இடையுடையவளே! நீ இங்கே எனக்குச் சொல்வதுபோலவே ஆகட்டும். செய்ய வேண்டியதை அறிந்து கொண்டு பின்னர் என்னிடம் வா; இந்த உண்மையை நினைவில் வைத்திரு.”
