Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm
स तीव्रगन्धसंतप्तो देवदूतमुवाच ह । गम्यतां तत्र येषां त्वं दूतस्तेषामुपान्तिकम्
sa tīvra-gandha-santapto deva-dūtam uvāca ha | gamyatāṃ tatra yeṣāṃ tvaṃ dūtas teṣām upāntikam |
தாங்க முடியாத துர்நாற்றத்தால் வாடியவன் தேவதூதனிடம் கூறினான்—“நீ யாருடைய தூதனோ, அவர்களிடமே திரும்பிச் செல். நான் அங்கே வரமாட்டேன்; இங்கேயே தங்குவேன். இதை உன் ஆண்டவர்களுக்கு அறிவி. ஏனெனில் என் அருகில் இருப்பதால் இங்கே என் துயருற்ற சகோதரரும் உறவினரும் சிறிதளவேனும் ஆறுதல் பெறுகின்றனர்.”
