धर्मज्ञ: सचिव: कश्चित् तत् तत्पश्येदतन्द्रित: । इन अधिपतियोंके अधिकारमें जो युद्धसम्बन्धी तथा गाँवोंके प्रबन्धसम्बन्धी कार्य सौंपे गये हों, उनकी देखभाल कोई आलस्यरहित धर्मज्ञ मन््त्री किया करे
dharmajñaḥ sacivaḥ kaścit tat tat paśyed atandritaḥ |
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—தர்மத்தை அறிந்த, கூர்மையான, சோம்பலற்ற அமைச்சர் ஒவ்வொரு காரியத்தையும் இடையறாது கண்காணிக்க வேண்டும்; குறிப்பாக அதிகாரிகளின் பொறுப்பில் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட போர் தொடர்பான பணிகளும் கிராம நிர்வாகப் பணிகளும்.
