Discourse on Wealth and Royal Duty
आसीदियं दिलीपस्य नृगस्य नहुषस्थ च,पहले यह पृथ्वी बारी-बारीसे राजा दिलीप, नृग, नहुष, अम्बरीष और मान्धाताके अधिकारमें रही है, वही इस समय आपके अधीन हो गयी है। अत: आपके समक्ष सर्वस्वकी दक्षिणा देकर द्रव्यमय यज्ञके अनुष्ठान करनेका अवसर प्राप्त हुआ है
āsīd iyaṃ dilīpasya nṛgasya nahuṣasya ca | ambarīṣasya māndhātuś ca kramād iyam mahī ||
அர்ஜுனன் கூறினான்— இந்தப் பூமி முன்பு முறையே திலீபன், ந்ருகன், நஹுஷன், அம்பரீஷன், மாந்தாதா போன்ற சிறந்த அரசர்களின் ஆட்சிக்குள் இருந்தது. இப்போது அது உங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வந்துள்ளது. ஆகவே, அனைத்தையும் தட்சிணையாக அர்ப்பணிக்கும் செல்வ ஆதார யாகத்தை நடத்தும் வாய்ப்பு உங்களுக்கு கிடைத்துள்ளது.
