राजधर्मः—प्रजापालनं दानयज्ञश्च
Royal Duty—Protection of Subjects, Generosity, and Sacrificial Discipline
न होतामाशिषं पाण्डुर्न च कुन्ती त्वयाचत । तथैतत् प्रज्ञया तात यथा55चरसि मेधया
na hotām āśiṣaṁ pāṇḍur na ca kuntī tvayācat | tathaitat prajñayā tāta yathā carasi medhayā ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—பாண்டு உன்னிடம் ஒருபோதும் ஆசீர்வாதம் வேண்டவில்லை; குந்தியும் உன்னிடம் எதையும் யாசிக்கவில்லை. ஆயினும், அன்புத் தாதா, இவ்விஷயத்தில் நீ பிரஞ்ஞையும் மேதையும் கொண்டு நடப்பது பரம நலத்திற்கே ஒத்ததாக உள்ளது.
