Cāturāśramya-dharma—Marks of the Four Āśramas (चातुराश्रम्यधर्मः)
iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi rājadharmānuśāsanaparvaṇi indramāndhātṛsaṃvāde pañcaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
The verse is a colophon marking the end of a teaching segment: the Indra–Māndhātṛ dialogue is presented as instruction in rājadharma, emphasizing that royal power must be governed by ethical discipline and duty-oriented rule.
Bhīṣma concludes the chapter by formally closing the section: within the Śānti Parva’s rājadharma instruction, the sixty-fifth chapter—centered on the conversation between Indra and King Māndhātṛ—has ended.
