सत्यार्जवं चातिथिपूजनं च धर्मस्तथार्थश्ष रति: स्वदारै: | निषेवितव्यानि सुखानि लोके हास्मिन् परे चैव मतं ममैतत्
satyārjavaṃ cātithipūjanaṃ ca dharmas tathārthaś ca ratiḥ svadāraiḥ | niṣevitavyāni sukhāni loke hāsmin pare caiva mataṃ mamaitat ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—உண்மை, நேர்மை, விருந்தோம்பல், தர்மமும் அர்த்தமும் நாடுதல், மேலும் தன் மனைவியிடத்தில் நம்பிக்கையுடனான அன்பு—இவையே இல்லறத்தான் இவ்வுலகில் பயில வேண்டிய உரிய இன்பங்கள். இவை நடைமுறையில் இருந்தால் மறுவுலகிலும் இன்பம் கிடைக்கும்; இதுவே என் கருத்து।
