Rājā–Rāja-Śabda-Prabhavaḥ — The Origin and Rationale of Kingship and Daṇḍanīti
पाल्यमानास्तथान्योन्यं नरा धर्मेण भारत । खेदं परमुपाजग्मुस्ततस्तान् मोह आविशत्
pālyamānās tathānyonyaṁ narā dharmeṇa bhārata | khedaṁ param upājagmus tatas tān moha āviśat ||
ஓ பாரதா! மனிதர்கள் தர்மத்தின் வழியே ஒருவரை ஒருவர் பேணிப் போஷித்தனர்; ஆனால் காலப்போக்கில் அந்தப் பரஸ்பரக் காவல் பணியிலேயே பெரும் சோர்வு உண்டாயிற்று; அப்போது அவர்களை மயக்கம் ஆட்கொண்டது.
