स्वकर्मनिरता यस्य जना विषयवासिन: । असंघातरता दान्ता: पाल्यमाना यथाविधि
svakarmaniratā yasya janā viṣayavāsinaḥ | asaṅghātaratā dāntāḥ pālyamānā yathāvidhi ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—யாருடைய நாட்டில் உலகியல் வாழ்வில் இருந்தாலும் மக்கள் விதிப்படி பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டு பராமரிக்கப் பெற்று, தத்தம் கடமைகளில் ஈடுபட்டு, உடல் இன்பங்களில் பற்றில்லாமல், புலனடக்கத்துடன் ஒழுக்கத்தில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்களோ, அவன் உண்மையிலேயே சிறந்த அரசன்।
