सत्ये तपसि दाने च यज्ञाधिकरणे तथा । धनुर्वेदे च वेदे च नीत्यां चैवानुरक्षणे
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
satye tapasi dāne ca yajñādhikaraṇe tathā |
dhanurvede ca vede ca nītyāṃ caivānurakṣaṇe |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—சத்தியம், தவம், தானம், யாகத்தின் முறையான நடத்தலும் நிர்வாகமும், வேதமும் தனுர்வேதமும் ஆகியவற்றில் தேர்ச்சி, மேலும் அரசநீதி மற்றும் குடிமக்கள் பாதுகாப்பு—இவற்றில் உமக்கு நிகரான மற்றொரு மகாரதனை நான் கேட்டதில்லை.
