पाण्डुरेण च माल्येन पताकाभिश्न मेदिनी । संस्कृतो राजमार्गो5 भूद्धूपनैश्व प्रधूषित:,सफेद मालाओं तथा पताकाओंसे नगरभूमिकी अद्भुत शोभा हो रही थी। राजमार्गको झाड़-बुहारकर वहाँ छिड़काव किया गया था और धूपोंकी सुगन्ध फैलायी गयी थी

Transliteration

pāṇḍureṇa ca mālyena patākābhiś ca medinī | saṃskṛto rājamārgo ’bhūd dhūpanaiś ca pradhūṣitaḥ ||

Translation

வெண்மையான மாலைகளாலும் கொடிகளாலும் நகரத்தின் தரை அற்புதமாக ஒளிர்ந்தது. அரசப் பாதை நன்கு துடைத்து ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப்பட்டு, தூபப் புகையின் நறுமணம் எங்கும் பரப்பப்பட்டது.
