पुरा मध्याह्नलसमये लोकांस्तपति भास्करे | प्रत्यादित्यप्रतीकाश: सर्वतः समदृश्यत

Transliteration

purā madhyāhna-lasamaye lokāṁs tapati bhāskare | pratyāditya-pratīkāśaḥ sarvataḥ samadṛśyata ||

Translation

முன்னொரு காலத்தில்—நண்பகலின் சோர்வான வேளையில் பாஸ்கரன் உலகங்களைச் சுட்டெரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, இரண்டாம் சூரியனைப் போல ஒளிவீசும் ஒரு பிரகாசமான புருஷன் தோன்றினான்; அவன் எல்லாத் திசைகளிலும் சமமான ஒளியுடன் தென்பட்டான்.
