यत्र देवो महाबाहु: शाश्वतः पुरुषोत्तम: । अनादिनिधनो विप्र किमाश्नर्यमत: परम्
yatra devo mahābāhuḥ śāśvataḥ puruṣottamaḥ | anādinidhano vipra kim āścaryam ataḥ param ||
நாகன் கூறினான்— ஓ பிராமணரே! சூரியனின் அபூர்வ ஒளித்திறனில் மகாபாகு, நித்தியன், ஆதியுமில்லா அந்தமுமில்லா புருஷோத்தமன் தானே உறைகிறான்—இதைவிடப் பெரிய அதிசயம் வேறெது? அவரிடமிருந்தே பலவகை விதைகள் தோன்றுகின்றன; அவரின் ஆதரவாலேயே இந்த முழுப் பூமி அசையும் அசையாத அனைத்துடனும் தாங்கப்படுகிறது. சூரியவட்டத்தில் தானே நாராயணன் ஒளிரும்போது, அதைவிடப் பெரிய அதிசயம் என்ன?
