रोषस्य हि वशं गत्वा दशग्रीव: प्रतापवान् | तथा शक्रप्रतिस्पर्धी हतो रामेण संयुगे,इन्द्रसे भी टक्कर लेनेवाला प्रतापी दशानन रावण रोषके ही अधीन होकर युद्धमें श्रीरामचन्द्रजीके हाथसे मारा गया
roṣasya hi vaśaṁ gatvā daśagrīvaḥ pratāpavān | tathā śakra-pratispardhī hato rāmeṇa saṁyuge ||
ஏனெனில் கோபத்தின் ஆட்பட்டதால், இந்திரனையும் எதிர்த்து நிற்கும் வல்லமை கொண்ட வீரத் தசக்ரீவன் ராவணன் போரில் ஸ்ரீராமனால் கொல்லப்பட்டான்.
