मौने ज्ञानफलावाप्तिदनिन च यशो महत्‌ | वाम्मित्वं सत्यवाक्येन परत्र च महीयते

Transliteration

maune jñānaphalāvāptir dānaṁ ca yaśo mahat | vākmitvaṁ satyavākyena paratra ca mahīyate ||

Translation

மௌனத்தால் ஞானத்தின் பயன் கிடைக்கும்; தானத்தால் பெரும் புகழ் உண்டாகும். உண்மைச் சொலால் வாக்குத் திறன் பெறப்படும்; மறுலோகத்திலும் மனிதன் மதிக்கப்படுவான்.
