नागभायोवाच आर्य: सूर्यरथं वोढुं गतोडसौ मासचारिक: । सप्ताष्टभिर्दिनैर्विप्र दर्शयिष्यत्यसंशयम्‌

Transliteration

Nāgabhāryovāca: āryaḥ sūryarathaṁ voḍhuṁ gato ’sau māsacārikaḥ | saptāṣṭabhir dinair vipra darśayiṣyaty asaṁśayam ||

Translation

நாகப் பெண் கூறினாள்—பிராமணவரே! என் ஆரிய கணவர் சூரியனின் தேரைச் சுமக்கச் சென்றுள்ளார். ஆண்டிற்கு ஒருமுறை ஒரு மாதம் அவருக்கு இக்கடமை உண்டு. ஏழு அல்லது எட்டு நாட்களுக்குள் அவர் நிச்சயமாக இங்கே தோன்றுவார்—இதில் ஐயமில்லை.
