मया होषा हि प्रियते पातालस्थेन भोगिना । मया धृता धारयति जगद् विश्व॑ं चराचरम्,“मैं पातालमें शेषनागके रूपसे रहकर इस पृथ्वीको धारण करता हूँ और मेरेद्वारा धारित होकर यह सम्पूर्ण चराचर जगत्को धारण करती है
mayā hoṣā hi priyate pātālasthena bhoginā | mayā dhṛtā dhārayati jagad viśvaṃ carācaram |
நான் பாதாளத்தில் சேஷநாகன் எனும் போகி வடிவில் இருந்து இந்தப் பூமியைத் தாங்குகிறேன்; என்னால் தாங்கப்பட்ட இந்தப் பூமி, அசையும் அசையாத அனைத்தையும் கொண்ட முழு பிரபஞ்சத்தையும் தாங்குகிறது.
