भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । ऋषीणां चैव संवादं त्रिदशानां च भारत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | ṛṣīṇāṃ caiva saṃvādaṃ tridaśānāṃ ca bhārata ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— “ஓ பாரதனந்தனே! இவ்விஷயத்தில் ஞானிகள் ஒரு பழமையான இதிஹாசத்தை எடுத்துரைப்பார்கள்—ரிஷிகளும் தேவர்களும் நடத்திய உரையாடலாக.”
