Mahāvasu’s Fall by Speech-Error and Release through Devotion (अज-विवादः वसोः शापः विमोचनं च)

भावित्वाच्चैव भावस्य घृताच्या वपुषा हृतः । यत्नान्नियच्छतस्तस्य मुनेरग्निचिकीर्षया

bhāvitvāc caiva bhāvasya ghṛtācyā vapuṣā hṛtaḥ | yatnān niyacchatas tasya muner agnicikīrṣayā

அவனுடைய உள்ளத் தீர்மானம் முற்றிலும் உருவெடுத்திருந்ததால், க்ருதாசியின் அழகால் அவன் கவரப்பட்டான். அக்னிகர்மம் செய்யவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தால் முனிவர் பெரும் முயற்சியுடன் தன்னை அடக்கினாலும், அந்த நோக்கம் கலங்கியது।
