Educational Q&A

Happiness in higher realms is presented as the direct fruit of one’s deeds: virtuous action (puṇya-karma) ripens into refined enjoyment, including freedom of movement and companionship with exalted beings.

Vyāsa describes the condition of meritorious souls in a heavenly setting: like apsarases accompanying great seers and enjoying the results of merit, righteous people ride celestial vimānas and experience pleasures produced by their good actions.
